Photos: Police parade 4 pregnant child traffickers, murder and armed robbery suspects in Imo State

The Imo State Police Command has arrested over 25 suspected criminals, including four msuspected pregnant child traffickers.Below is a situation report issued today and signed by the command's Public Relations Officer, DSP Andrew Enwerem:

"In line with the determination of the Imo State Police Command following the declaration of “Operation Nkpochapu” phase II (Wipe out Criminals), the State Police Command has arrested over 25 unrepentant career criminals who still terrorize the innocent citizens of the state. Some of the arrested suspects have been charged to court while others are still undergoing thorough investigation. Some of the arrests recorded include the following:
1. RECOVERY OF STOLEN SIENNA VEHICLE/ARREST OF SUSPECTS: On the 4th of December, 2016 at Umuerim Nekede Owerri West L.G.A. Imo State, operatives of the command arrested one Calistus Amaele ‘m’ of No. 17 Nekede Road Owerri and one Kingsley Nkemjika Odunze in connection with the stealing of a Toyota Sienna car. The suspects had repainted the vehicle and had the plate No. and the dash board among others changed. Fake vehicle documents were also procured to conceal the owner identification. However, the suspects have confessed to the crime and would be charged to court soon.

2. ARREST OF ARMED ROBBERY/MURDER SUSPECTS: a. On the 4th of December, 2016 at Mechanic Village Nekede by the beach, Owerri West L.G.A. Imo State, operatives of the command acting on a tip-off arrested one Obinna Chigozie Onuoha ‘m’ aka “Nwa Pastor” who has been on the wanted list of the Police Command having committed serious crimes ranging from armed robbery, murder and cultism. Suspect confessed to have murdered three persons amongst other heinous crimes.
He stated that he shot dead one Chibuike at Douglas road Owerri, one Zaiki, a CD plate seller at Ikenegbu road while the third being a bike rider was murdered at Mbaise road. Suspect made useful statement to the police as being a member of Ayee Secret cult group who only kills rival secret cult group members whenever he sees them and further disclosed that the recent murder of one Chikabala at IMSU front gate was carried out by his gang members namely Shiba, Nonso, Freedom and Brano. Other members of his gang include Black Fela, Owite, Pharaoh and Ludacris who are now at large.

b. On the 4th of December, 2016 at Umaogwa Obazu Mbieri one Thankgod Igwe ‘m’ was arrested with one locally made double barrel pistol by operatives of the command after he led a five man gang to rob five families during which he shot a victim on the left hand. Some of the stolen properties recovered from him include two motorcycles, a plasma TV among others. He will be charged to court accordingly soon.

3. ARREST OF SUSPECTED CHILD TRAFFICKING SYNDICATE: On 14/12/2016, operatives of the State Police Command arrested 4 suspected pregnant child traffickers. Suspects were arrested following a tip-off at Regina Ceali Motherless/Destitute Home owned by one Mrs Patricia Nwachukwu located at Umuorji Community of Eziala Ogwu Nguru Aboh Mbaise L.G.A. of Imo State. The 4 suspects were at various stages of pregnancy before their arrest. The arrested suspected traffickers include:
i) Amarachi Nkwocha ‘f; 20yrs of Ehime Mbano L.G.A. with 6 months pregnancy.
ii) Chioma Eze ‘f’ 26yrs of Otulu Ahiara Aniazu Mbaise L.G.A. but residing at Lagos with 7months pregnancy.
iii) Opara Chinaza ‘f’ 16yrs of Umuezi Enyiogugu Aboh Mbaise L.G.A. with 4months pregnancy.
iv) Tochi Bekee ‘f’ 19yrs of Abia State but residing at No. 11 Ladipo Ala Awusa Ikeja Lagos State with 5months pregnancy. Also arrested is one Chidera Simon ‘f’ 23yrs of Eziala Nguru Aboh Mbaise L.G.A. an accomplice to Mrs Patricia Nwachukwu, owner of the Motherless/Destitute Home.
