140 thousand Nigerians including 74 females adults, 52 male adults, 5
females and 1 male, unaccompanied children, 4 infants and 3 medical
cases were deported from Libya yesterday Dec. 20.
Most of the returnees expressed regret traveling to Libya, adding that
they will never pray that their enemies should experienced what they
suffered while traveling to Libya.
NEMA officials who coordinated the exercise with support from Nigerian
Immigration Service, Customs, Police, FAAN, DSS, Air force, NAPTIP and
the media received the returnees from International Organization for
migration who facilitated their return.
NEMA accommodated some of the returnees and gave tokens to them which
will enable them travel to their respective destinations after dropping
them at various motor garages.
